In general, the zoning, critical areas, and other permitting and planning related data layers are applicable to the unincorporated county only. For areas within incorporated cities and towns, you should always consult directly with those specific administrators as their regulations will likely differ from Lewis County's. For locations within unincorporated Urban Growth Areas (UGAs) you should contact both county administrators and city administrators because different parts of each's code may apply. Other map layers may reasonably attempt to reflect the theme within cities because a county office needs the data to perform their duties -- city voting precincts, for example, are administered by the Lewis County Auditor's Office. Please contact the administrators of any regulatory departments or agencies for interpretation and verification of these maps as they apply to their specific regulations.
